Aside from the natural splendours of Arran, there are castles, prehistoric remains, and golf courses almost too numerous to mention. Cheese, ice cream, beer and whisky are all locally produced along with a variety of crafts. We organise regular minibus trips to give residents the benefit of all the island has to offer Arran’s three main villages of Brodick, Lamlash, and Whiting Bay are found on the east side of the island, looking towards Scotland’s West Coast, while the smaller communities on the west side of the island overlook the Mull of Kintyre. Sunrises and Sunsets that defy words and a night sky packed full of stars make it easy to forget that you’re only a short boat ride away from the hectic life of the mainland’s big centres.
The island is easily accessible by car ferry from Ardrossan (on the West Coast of Scotland) to Brodick, which brings you to the island in less than an hour. There is also a train service running directly from Glasgow Central to Ardrossan Harbour in under an hour. We are 8 miles from Brodick. Buses and taxis await the ferry arrivals if coming without a car.
